Hatters look at Proudlock

Adam Proudlock has been offered the chance to revive his career by Stockport.

Adam Proudlock has been offered the chance to revive his career by Stockport County.

The striker has been given non-contract forms at Edgeley Park after being released by Ipswich Town at the end of last season.

He trained with Walsall in July, but has now found another club in League Two, with Hatters boss Jim Gannon keen to have an extended look at the 25-year-old.

"We are giving the lad an opportunity to prove himself," Gannon told the Stockport Express.

"There's no doubt he has got the ability, he is more than capable if he keeps his level of match fitness up.

"We'll review him in five or six weeks."

Proudlock has yet to fulfil the promise he displayed at first club Wolves, having left Ipswich in the spring following a spell at Sheffield Wednesday.
