Henry slams Bosnians' fight
France's Thierry Henry has castigated the Bosnians for alleged use of aggressive tactics.
French talisman Thierry Henry has castigated the Bosnian-Herzegovina players for their alleged use of aggressive tactics in the friendly at Sarajevo.Les Bleus won the game 2-1 thanks to a stoppage time winner from substitute Julien Faubert.
The inspirational Arsenal striker was angered by the opposition's performance off the ball, but has praised his team-mates for keeping their cool in the fiery affair.
"No one got mad while we got punched when the ball was not in the game," Henry claimed.
"It is really a shame to try to destabilise players in that way. We tried not to reply to provocation, but believe me it is not that easy to be punched in the face. We had to grit our teeth and not reply.
"It was really difficult to play in such an atmosphere, but it was probably good preparation for Georgia."
Sergei Barbarez put the Bosnians into the lead before William Gallas restored parity just four minutes before half time.
But it was Bordeaux youngster Faubert who stole the show, after coming on to replace Franck Ribery in the 69th minute, wearing Zinedine Zidane's old number 10 shirt.
His last gasp free kick was diverted into the net by Veldin Music to give France the win, and Henry has welcomed the Girondins defender and his club team-mate into the international ranks.
"I am happy for Julien Faubert and Rio Mavuba," Henry added.
"We tried to keep on going after the World Cup and we were able to keep a cool head."
The French face Georgia away in their first Euro 2008 qualifier on September 2.
