However, Pizarro has had a sudden change of heart and decided that his future does belong in The Eternal City.
Reports suggest that he left Inter's training camp in Mallorca to travel to the Italian capital and hold talks with Roma bosses.
His first season at Roma is to be classed as a loan, before a permanent move can be completed next summer.
The clubs have already agreed a fee, believed to be in the region of é¼6 million (£4.1 million).
