Borgetti nears Bolton exit
Sam Allardyce expects Jared Borgetti to leave Bolton in the next 24 hours.
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed he expects striker Jared Borgetti to seal his move away from The Reebok Stadium in the next 24 hours.Borgetti has been tipped to quit the Premiership side for much of the summer, with the Middle East now appearing his most likely destination.
The Mexican international has also attracted the interest of a number of clubs in Europe and Allardyce is hopeful the 33-year-old's departure will clear the path for a new face in the North West.
"I'm looking for Jared to complete a deal at some stage in the next 24 hours," Allardyce told the club's official website.
"The Middle East club Al Ittihad are still favourites, but other clubs are now emerging to sign him.
"If Jared finally leaves, it will free up more funds to bring in a player with more quality."
Borgetti arrived in England last summer with an impressive scoring record but failed to force his way into Allardyce's starting line-up on a regular basis.
