The 20-year-old is tipped to join Louis van Gaal's side before the deadline passes but Donk says he wants to be playing in the Eredivisie on a regular basis.

Donk has begun the season in the heart of RKC's defence and is against the idea of finding himself in the youth team once again.

"Especially when I will have to play at the promises squad, it is no use to go to AZ," he said in AD Sportwereld Wednesday.
