Varga delighted to be back

Sunderland's Stanislav Varga has revealed he has unfinished business in the North East.

The experienced Slovakian defender recently joined from Celtic, but played for the Stadium of Light outfit prior to his move to Parkhead.

Varga is looking forward to working under manager Roy Keane and is keen to perform at his best in order to secure a swift Premiership return for The Black Cats.

"I am delighted to be back and delighted to play for a person like Roy Keane," explained Varga.

"There were three aspects to why I came here: the first, that Roy Keane is the manager; the second one, that Niall Quinn is the chairman; and the third one is that I always felt when I left Sunderland, I left here unfinished business.

"Every club I have played for, I have always wanted to do the best for them.

"I know those two people (Keane and Quinn) want to get Sunderland back to where it was before.

"I do not think Roy Keane as a manager would like to change his attitude and be second best."
