Elmander happy at Toulouse

Striker Johan Elmander has explained why he decided to move to Toulouse.

Sweden international Johan Elmander has explained why he decided to move to Toulouse.

The 25-year-old striker snubbed interest from Premiership clubs Blackburn and Wigan, as well as a host of other European clubs, in order to join Elie Baup's Toulouse.

And he has revealed that it was the ambition of Baup and president Olivier Sadran which persuaded him to switch to the Stadium Municipal from Brondby.

"Toulouse is a club moving forward," Elmander told Sportbaldet.

"A young president who wants to move forward, a good coach and a young team. It felt right for me.

"But my ambition is still to move on to an even bigger league. I am just 25 and have some time to reach the top level."
