Czech Republic international Marek Heinz has signed a one-year deal at St Etienne.
Czech Republic international Marek Heinz has signed a one-year deal at St Etienne after passing a medical at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.Heinz has been without a club since leaving Turkish giants Galatasaray and was linked with a move to The Premiership, but Les Verts coach Ivan Hasek was keen to work with his countryman.
The 29-year-old was allowed to join a club outside the transfer window and after making a move for him during the summer, Hasek returned with a renewed bid.
"All sides have reached an agreement, Marek will be unveiled at a press conference and have his first training session led by Ivan Hasek," Heinz's agent Pavel Zika said.
St Etienne become Heinz's fifth club outside Czech Republic, having previously plied his trade for Hamburg, Arminia Bielefeld, Borussia Monchengladbach and Galatasaray.
If he impresses, Heinz could be handed a further two-year deal in France.
