Pardew keen on Real ace

West Ham boss Alan Pardew has admitted he is interested in Real Madrid ace Cicinho.

West Ham boss Alan Pardew has admitted he is interested in Real Madrid ace Cicinho.

Pardew tried to sign the Brazilian international during summer transfer window, but was unable to agree a deal to bring him to Upton Park.

Cicinho has been deemed surplus to requirements by new Real coach Fabio Capello who is willing to let him move on.

Real are thought to have offered the full back to Roma before the transfer window slammed shut, but the player stayed at El Santiago Bernabeu.

Pardew is a big admirer of Cicinho and admitted he will be back in the market for the South American in January.

"I shall try to sign him (Cicinho) again in January and hopefully I'll be successful," Pardew told the Independent.

Cicinho's agent Ricardo Sartis insists the player is happy in Madrid and rejected talk of a possible move to Roma.

"Cicinho is a Real Madrid player and it is not going anywhere," Sartis told Marca.

"He is very happy in Madrid and very motivated to convince Capello that he should be in the team.

"There is nothing happening with Rome. I can confirm Cicinho wants to succeed in Madrid."
