Letizi blow for Gers

Rangers goalkeeper Lionel Letizi has been ruled out of the Uefa Cup tie with Molde.

Rangers goalkeeper Lionel Letizi has been ruled out of his side's Uefa Cup tie with Molde.

Letizi has failed to recover from a calf strain to make the trip to Norway.

The Frenchman has missed Rangers' last two game and Gers boss Paul Le Guen was keen to give him to the last minute to prove his fitness.

However, he has failed to shake off the injury and Allan McGregor will continue in his absence.

Gers striker Dado Prso says the team will go to Norway in good heart following their 4-0 success over Falkirk last weekend.

"We will go there with confidence that we can do our job," said Prso.

"A win would be the perfect result for us and it's important not to concede goals either.

"We were confident even before the Falkirk game because we had played very well against Kilmarnock and, even though we didn't get the three points, it was a good performance.

"We've scored four goals but we know we can do a lot more than we showed against Falkirk.

"I think the confidence is high."

Rangers defender Karl Svensson believes nothing less than a victory will be good enough against struggling Molde.

"We have to win," Svensson told Rangers World.

"It's the same in every game. But Molde are not a bad team so we have to play well if we want to win the game.

"They are not having a good season and they are near the bottom of the league but they are still quite a good team."
