Brammer wants Stoke stay

Stoke City midfielder Dave Brammer is keen to extend his contract with the club.

Stoke City midfielder Dave Brammer is keen to extend his contract with the Championship club.

The former Wrexham, Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra man has been linked with a move away from The Potters, as the 31-year-old enters the final year of his Stoke contract.

After two seasons with Stoke, Brammer hopes the current campaign is not his last at The Britannia Stadium.

"There was a lot of speculation in the press about me moving away over the summer," Brammer told the club's official website.

"It was the first I'd heard about anything regarding me moving away, so it was quite a surprise.

"But I'm happy here and looking forward to the season, so that's the bottom of that really.

"I'll wait to see if the club want me to stay. I want to stay here, I'm happy, so the ball is in their court now."
