Burke suffers new injury blow

Rangers winger Chris Burke has been ruled out of Thursday's Uefa Cup clash with Molde.

Rangers winger Chris Burke has been ruled out of Thursday's Uefa Cup clash with Molde.

Burke picked up a shoulder injury in Saturday's Old Firm derby defeat to Celtic.

The Scottish international is due to undergo tests on the injury to find out the full extent of the problem.

Rangers boss Paul Le Guen admitted it was a blow to lose the 22-year-old.

"He will undergo tests later today to determine how long he will be out," Le Guen told the club's official website.

"It is disappointing to lose Burke.

"He has been very unlucky so far this season and it is a shame because he is a vital player for us, but we must go into Thursday's game without him and also Jeremy Clement and I will have to change things around because Sasa Papac is unavailable (cup-tied)."
