Kluivert frustrated by injury

Patrick Kluivert is to begin a slow rehabilitation following scans on his knee injury.

PSV Eindhoven striker Patrick Kluivert is set to begin a slow rehabilitation following scans on his knee injury.

The Dutchman suffered a recurrence of a long-standing problem in Saturday's Eredivisie game against ADO Den Haag.

Medical tests have at least confirmed no serious damage, but Kluivert is determined not to rush his recovery.

"It has been established that nothing is broken," he said.

"Now I will start my rehabilitation, and I am starting to get a little bit tired of that.

"I won't be setting a time limit, because maybe I will not make my target."

The 29-year-old was plagued by the knee injury at Valencia throughout last season, and the troubles appear to have followed him to Eindhoven.
