Wenger expecting tricky tie

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is expecting a tricky encounter against Porto.

The French tactician knows English sides have struggled against the 2004 Champions League winners in the past and is not taking the Portuguese outfit lightly.

Wenger and co kicked off their European campaign against Hamburg in their Group G opener and now Wenger wants his side to carry their form into Emirates Stadium.

"Our home form will dictate our qualification," explained Wenger. "We know we play against a big opponent in Porto, who always make it difficult.

"They have a good technical level, they have great experience in the Champions League and they look like they'll win the league this year in Portugal.

"For us, it will be a big, big scalp tomorrow as they are always very difficult to beat for English teams."

Meanwhile, Wenger has a number of injury worries ahead of the clash with Freddie Ljungberg and Johan Djourou both doubtful.

However, star striker Thierry Henry, who has been struggling with injury this term, is fit and should feature against Porto.

"We will see how Freddie is tomorrow as he has not practised today," he added. "Djourou as well, but they should both be available.

"Thierry is match fit. He has had a game after an injury and so should be sharper tomorrow."

Wenger has been in charge of the North Londoners for 10 years and the experienced manager says pressure on him is as high as ever.

"You have more response to the expectation of people because you have a football level which is quite high and the pressure on doing well is even higher," he said on his Gunners tenure.
