Tottenham boss Martin Jol has revealed Michael Dawson suffered mild concussion.
Tottenham boss Martin Jol has revealed Michael Dawson suffered mild concussion during the win over Portsmouth.Dawson sustained the blow after a clash of heads with team-mate Tom Huddlestone late on in the game at White Hart Lane.
The big central defender was forced to leave the pitch and he spent Sunday night in hospital.
Jol admits the club will have to take it careful with the former Nottingham Forest man, but is hopeful the injury is not too serious.
"We will monitor Michael for the next week, he has to be careful with his heading - the normal procedure - and by the end of the week he should be training with us again," Jol told the club's official website.
Jol also allayed fears Pascal Chimbonda could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines after coming off at half time with a calf problem.
Chimbonda is expected to be sidelined for a week with the injury.
"Pascal could be out for the next week at least," said Jol.
