Babel blow for Ajax

Ajax ace Ryan Babel faces a spell on the sidelines through injury.

The young striker picked up a knock in last weekend's game with FC Groningen.

Babel was sent for tests earlier this week and scans have shown that Babel has damaged ligaments in his knee.

It means that Babel is likely to be out of action for up to four weeks which will rule him out of the Eredivisie games with Feyenoord, ADO Den Haag, Heerenveen and Heracles.

Babel will also be unavailable for the Uefa Cup clash with Austria Vienna in November.
