Lewin liking life on Wearside
Lewin Nyatanga has admitted he would be happy to join Sunderland permanently.
Derby stopper Lewin Nyatanga has admitted he would be happy to transform his Sunderland loan switch into a permanent arrangement. The Welsh international joined The Black Cats on a temporary deal in October and made his first start for his new side in Saturday's Championship victory over Hull.
His long-term future is now the matter of some debate, with the 18-year-old unsure as to whether he will become a permanent addition to Roy Keane's squad.
However, Wales' second-youngest ever player says he has felt at home on Wearside so far and would certainly have no qualms about signing for the North East outfit.
"Everything is still up in the air at the moment as to whether I go back or make the move permanent. I'll have to deal with that in January," Nyatanga told the Derby Telegraph.
"Whatever happens happens, but I feel as if I've fitted in well at Sunderland and the lads have been excellent.
"Sunderland is a great club and the facilities are brilliant. There is no reason why I wouldn't want to move."
