Fergie 'relief' at Ole injury

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring complaint.

Manchester United's woes in Copenhagen on Wednesday were compounded by the news Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring complaint.

The striker was seen clutching his leg in the dying embers of the 1-0 UEFA Champions League defeat.

United had already used their three substitutes and finished the game with ten men, as Solskjaer was whisked down the tunnel.

Red Devils chief Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the striker had damaged his hamstring, but was actually relieved to be informed of the injury.

"He's done his hamstring unfortunately," stated the Scot.

"I was glad to hear that news to be honest because when I saw him limping, I didn't know what to expect because of his knee.

"But that's okay it's his hamstring."

With Giuseppe Rossi out on loan, Ferguson will have to make do with Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha and Alan Smith for the club's upcoming fixtures.
