Zambrotta focused on Blues
Gianluca Zambrotta says Barcelona are focussed on beating Chelsea.
Gianluca Zambrotta says Barcelona are focussed on beating Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League following recent defeats to The Blues and Real Madrid.Barca bounced back from losses at Stamford Bridge and Santiago Bernabeu with a 3-0 success over Gimnastic de Tarragona last Saturday.
Former Juventus star Zambrotta found it difficult to sleep following the back-to-back defeats, but is confident his side can beat Chelsea at Camp Nou on Tuesday.
Barca are currently level on four points with Werder Bremen in Group A and the Italy international knows the side must claim six points from their two remaining home games.
"For me, the Champions League trophy belongs in Barcelona as they are one of the biggest clubs in the world," said Zambrotta.
"I accepted Barca's offer, not just for the money. The city, the atmosphere and the club are also factors for a player.
"After the two defeats in London and Madrid I have suffered sleeping problems. Defeats are very bad for me because I am a winner by nature.
"It's important to forget defeats and I'm only thinking of the game against The Blues. We are the favourites to win because we're at home and we are the champions.
"I'm not worried about the defeats. It's normal that the matches in London and Bernabeu would finish without success. I am optimistic.
"I don't think we'll get knocked out of the Champions League, but we need to bag six points from our home games against Chelsea and Werder Bremen."
