The only and crucial goal at Estadio Olimpico de Montjuic came just before the hour mark.

Segunda Liga outfit Malaga dispatched top-flight Real Sociedad.

Sociedad claimed a 2-1 victory on Wednesday evening with Inigo De Cerio (7 & 74) claiming two, but Richard Morales (77) goal sealed Malaga's passage as they went through 5-3 on aggregate.

Another La Liga side bowed out at the Nou Estadi as Real Valladolid won 3-1 to secure a 4-1 aggregate win over Gimnastic de Tarragona.
