Aachen trial DC star

Bundesliga outfit Alemannia Aachen have invited American Brian Carroll for a trial.

The 25-year-old USA international, who is currently contracted to DC United, has been given until Friday to impress Aachen coach Michael Frontzeck in training.

The Bundesliga new boys have made a promising start to the current season, but Frontzeck is aware that he needs to strengthen his squad during the winter break to avoid slipping towards the drop zone.

Carroll has been a fixture in the DC midfield for the last couple of seasons, but with the MLS campaign having concluded it would appear as if he is ready to make a move to Europe.
