Bantams in the Black
Bradford City have completed the loan signing of Crystal Palace's Tommy Black.
Bradford City have completed the signing of Crystal Palace winger Tommy Black on a month's loan. The former Arsenal trainee follows Barnsley's Colin Healy in making the switch to Valley Parade, having been frozen out of Peter Taylor's first-team plans.
The 26-year-old arrives in time for Saturday's trip to Oldham Athletic after opting for the West Yorkshire club ahead of League One rivals Brentford.
"Tommy's a talented player who can play on either flank and he'll keep everyone on their toes," said Bantams boss Colin Todd.
"Colin came in and gave us that bit of quality last week and hopefully Tommy will do the same."
Black's move north has been lamented by Brentford manager Leroy Rosenior, who admitted that the South West London club could not afford to sign the Palace player.
"We enquired about Tommy last week, but he was not fully fit," said Rosenior.
"I have since been told there is no money to bring in players. It is frustrating, but we have to get on with it."
