Totti will decide Italy return

Francesco Totti will not be rushed into making a decision on his international future.

Francesco Totti insists he will not be rushed into making a decision on his international future.

The Roma forward took a break from playing for Italy after their triumphant World Cup campaign in the summer.

Italy coach Roberto Donadoni has held talks with Totti about returning to the national side, but the Giallarossi captain insists he is focusing solely on his club commitments.

Totti, who suffered a serious ankle injury last season, will only return to the fold for Italy when he has finally recovered full fitness.

"The national team? There will be time for that, now I only think about Roma," said Totti.

"I will decide later whether I should come back or not. I don't have to talk with anyone because I already did it with Donadoni and we told each other everything.

"While I have screws in my ankle I won't come back."
