Richard Hope could return against Chester after missing Shrewsbury's last seven games with a calf injury, but striker Andy Cooke will miss out after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season in the defeat to Milton Keynes Dons.
Chester boss Mark Wright will be without suspended duo Roberto Martinez and Ashley Westwood, but Ryan Semple comes into the squad after finalising his loan move from Lincoln.
