Malta star eyes England move
Malta international Michael Mifsud has outlined his desire to move to England.
Malta international Michael Mifsud has outlined his desire to move to The Premiership, with Sheffield United and Manchester City both linked with the striker.Mifsud was the subject of interest from Coventry City over the summer before Lillestrom rejected the Championship side's advances.
However, the man who scored 11 goals in 19 league games this season is available on a free transfer in January and is currently mulling over his options.
A number of clubs from the top two divisions of English football are believed to be interested in the Maltese hit-man, and Mifsud has admitted he is keen to test himself at a higher level.
However, the 25-year-old insists he has not received a concrete offer from either Stuart Pearce or Neil Warnock, and if none materialises he will consider signing a new deal with Lillestrom.
"For me it is not a matter of money, but to get the most out of my career," Mifsud told Nettavisen.
"Therefore I desire to join a bigger club in a bigger league.
"Both Manchester City and Sheffield United have been mentioned, but no offers have come yet.
"In case nothing happens, I might talk to LSK again."
