Belletti happy at Barca

Juliano Belletti has stressed his happiness at being a Barcelona player after being linked with a move to Milan.

Reports in Italy have claimed that Milan are eyeing the Brazilian as a long-term replacement for his compatriot Cafu at right-back.

But, rather than chase a switch to Serie A, Belletti revealed he is hoping to extend his contract with Barcelona.

"I do not know anything about this subject and I have not been in contact with any directors of the Italian club," Belletti told the Spanish media.

"I know it has been in some papers, but I am very happy in Barcelona.

"The directors want to offer me another contract and I am disposed to this.

"To play or not depends exclusively on the coach. It means work for me and to search for a place in the 11."

Belletti scored the winning goal in last season's UEFA Champions League final win over Arsenal and feels that earns him the respect of the fans after a campaign so far hampered by injury.

He added: "I feel very loved by the Barcelona supporters.

"This season is hard for me because of the injuries, but the people are always by me, helping me to the maximum.

"I believe that the goal in the final in Paris will be in their memory."
