Brett blow for Rovers

Blackburn Rovers ace Brett Emerton faces a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Emerton sustained the injury in Blackburn's 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday.

Rovers boss Mark Hughes expects to be without the versatile Australian international for a couple of weeks at least.

"We've lost Brett Emerton again to a hamstring, I think that is a consequence to the summer that he's had with his World Cup involvement," Hughes told the club's official website.

"It looks as if it is the same injury that he suffered earlier in the season, hopefully it's not too severe and we can get him back in a couple of weeks."
