Bury get keeper cover

Bury have brought in emergency keeping cover in the guise of Blackpool's Lee Jones.

Bury have brought in emergency goalkeeping cover in the guise of Blackpool's Lee Jones.

The League Two club are in the midst of a keeping crisis at Gigg Lane after Kasper Schmeichel recently returned to Manchester City.

His loan replacement Andy Warrington has picked up a thigh injury, while Alan Fettis is also sidelined.

Shakers boss Chris Casper has moved for the experienced Jones, who has yet to figure for Blackpool this season.

The emergency deal will be on a week-to-week arrangement, with Casper happy to have signed Jones.

"I was speaking to Simon Grayson and we've been able to get Lee in," said Casper.

"He's an experienced goalkeeper and we're pleased to have him here."

Casper also denied reports that Brian Barry-Murphy could be leaving Bury to join Stockport County.

He added: "We definitely want to keep him."
