Lua Lua out, midfielder in?

Tresor Lomana Lua Lua could be out until February with a torn thigh muscle.

Portsmouth's Tresor Lomana Lua Lua could be out until February with a torn thigh muscle, but Harry Redknapp may be about to add a midfielder to his squad.

Lua Lua pulled up just 33 minutes into Saturday's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, and scans have now revealed the extent of the damage to his thigh.

The injury will likely keep Lua Lua out of action for the next two months - leading the DR Congo star to lament a 'nightmare' year.

The forward has suffered the death of his son, and was recently arrested and cleared following allegations of domestic abuse.

"This year has been a nightmare and I can't wait for it to finish," said Lua Lua.

"So many bad things have happened to me, in and out of football.

"My mum is worried by all these things that have happened to me, but I am sure God will help me and make me stronger."

Meanwhile, Pompey boss Redknapp may bolster his numbers with the free transfer signing of former Bolton midfielder Khalilou Fadiga.

Fadiga looks set to earn a permanent contract with the Premiership high-flyers after impressing whilst on trial at Fratton Park.
