Millwall have terminated Kevin Braniff's contract by mutual consent.

The striker has not figured for The Lions since Willie Donachie replaced Nigel Spackman as manager in late September.

Braniff had made nine appearances this season, scoring two goals, but has been released by Donachie.

The Belfast-born forward started his career at The Den, making 74 appearances for the club and scoring on his debut in a League Cup tie with Brighton in August 2000.

He is returning to Northern Ireland for Christmas before starting the search for another club in the New Year.
