Murray inks new deal

Matt Murray has pledged his future to Wolves by signing a long-term contract extension.

The keeper has established himself as the number one under Mick McCarthy and his impressive efforts this term have won him many fans.

The club had feared that their number one could be lured away from Molineux, but he has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with an option in place to extend the commitment by a further 12 months should the club return to the Premiership.

McCarthy was relieved to thrash out a new deal with the keeper, as he told the club's website: "It's great news for the club that Matt has re-signed.

"We are trying to build a team here and that's a huge boost because we all rate him very highly and think he's one of the best keepers in the country.

"This shows his commitment to Wolves and I'm thrilled."
