Safri plays down exit link
Youssef Safri has insisted that he is not looking for a move away from Norwich.
Youssef Safri has insisted that he is not looking for a move away from Norwich.Since being appointed Canaries manager in October Peter Grant has used Safri sparingly, and the Moroccan international has only finished three of Norwich's last 11 games.
Rumours have started to circulate about Safri's frustration, but he maintains that he is committed to the club.
"Hopefully I am not going anywhere - I would like to stay and I want to stay," he told the Norwich Evening News.
"I am really happy about everything at Norwich.
"When you are not playing then no player in the world is happy, but otherwise everything here is really good."
However, Safri believes he is worthy of a place in the Norwich starting XI and admits it is difficult to be on the fringes.
"When you play everything is fine. When you don't play or you are on the bench and you feel you deserve to start that is disappointing for any player," he explained.
"It's frustrating when you are not starting and I look forward to starting games all the time.
"I am here just for football, I love my job and I love to start every game."
