Petr Cech claims he will have no fear of returning to competitive football.
Petr Cech claims he will have no fear of returning to competitive football when he is given the green light to resume following surgery to repair his fractured skull. The Czech Republic international picked up the injury during Chelsea's win at Reading in October and he had to undergo emergency surgery on his skull.
Following a spell of inactivity, Cech has resumed light training and he is adamant he will not freeze when he returns to competitive action.
"Everyone is asking if I am afraid when I am back," Cech told Chelsea TV. "But Carlo (Cudicini) said the main thing - 'how can I be afraid of something I don't even remember?'
"That is exactly what it is going to be with me, because I don't remember anything from the game. I don't even remember the injury.
"I woke up three days later and I had 30 stitches on my head and it was difficult for me.
"But that game I don't remember so I don't think I am going to be afraid."
