Tudor-Jones out for the year
Owain Tudur-Jones is expected to miss the entire season with a knee injury.
Swansea City midfielder Owain Tudur-Jones is expected to miss the entire season with the knee injury that sidelined him during pre-season.The Welshman had knee surgery in June that had looked like initially ruling him out of action for around four months.
However, manager Kenny Jackett has revealed that he will be surprised if Tudur-Jones features for The Swans at all this term.
"I don't think I'll be seeing him again this season. If I do, then it will be a bonus," Jackett said.
Tudur-Jones has travelled to America to visit renowned surgeon Richard Steadman for a second opinion on the injury.
"We needed a second opinion on Owain's knee and there is nobody more qualified than Dr Steadman," Jackett told the club's official website.
"We will obviously have to wait for the outcome of the consultation to see how we progress, but the club is doing everything in its powers to safeguard Owain's long-term future."
