Savage gets contract boost

Bas Savage has been handed a one-month extension to his Gillingham contract.

Bas Savage has been handed a one-month extension to his contract at Gillingham.

The former Reading striker joined on a three-month deal in September to allow manager Ronnie Jepson to take a closer look.

Having played an impressive role in Gillingham's last two games, in which they scored victories over Tranmere and Leyton Orient, Jepson has invited Savage to remain with the club until the end of January.

Savage joined Gillingham on a free transfer having been released by Bristol City.
