Jones wants to stay at QPR
Ray Jones has revealed he is willing to commit his future to Queens Park Rangers.
Ray Jones has revealed he is willing to commit his future to Queens Park Rangers.
The teenage striker's situation has been a cause for worry at Loftus Road after he rejected several offers of a new contract.
Fulham have previously had a £50,000 bid turned down, while QPR boss John Gregory appeared resigned to losing the youngster.
But Jones, fresh from scoring the only goal against Colchester United on New Year's Day, says he is keen to stay at the club.
He is hoping to discuss his future in the coming weeks and feels a move to the Premiership would be detrimental to his career at this stage.
"I want to stay here and hopefully that will all be sorted in the next few weeks," Jones told the club's official website.
"I'm playing first-team football for QPR and gaining experience all the time.
"I didn't think I'd be involved this early on in my career, but I think I've adapted quite well to life in the Championship.
"Why would I want to sit on the bench at a Premiership club?"
