Notts County have released teenage defender Tommy Hannigan. The 19-year-old leaves Meadow Lane after his contract with The Magpies came to an end with the turn of the New Year.
The former club trainee has spent the last two months on loan at Conference North club Alfreton Town, with their manager Gary Mills keen to keep him on a permanent basis.
A back injury hampered his chances of impressing County boss Steve Thompson this season, and the youngster seems destined to continue his career in non-league football.
Hannigan follows Magpies midfielder Tom Curtis in leaving the League Two side, with the 33-year-old joining Conference North side Nuneaton Borough on loan.
