QPR sign Finn

QPR have signed Finland international Sampsa Timoska on a free transfer.

Queens Park Rangers have signed Finland international Sampsa Timoska on a free transfer.

The utility man put pen-to-paper on an 18-month contract with the West Londoners, having arrived from Finnish club MyPa-47.

The 27-year-old comes to Loftus Road after a previous trial spell with Championship rivals Colchester United back in November.

Timoska has experience of playing in both the UEFA Champions League and the Uefa Cup with MyPa, and is sure to add another option for John Gregory's side.

"He's a neat and tidy footballer, who is very versatile and can play across the back four, or in midfield," Gregory told QPR's official website.

"He will enhance our squad and gives us a bit of improvement in those areas. He's a good athlete as well.''
