Borussia Dortmund defender Christoph Metzelder admits he could be forced to move abroad in the summer if things do not improve in Germany. The German international is finding life difficult at the moment with Dortmund and insists he could leave the Bundesliga if things do not improve.
Metzelder suffered several injury setbacks and was dropped by former coach Bert van Marwijk, but the stopper says he wants to asses the situation at the club in the wake of the Dutchman's sacking.
"I have the possibility of moving abroad on a free transfer in the summer and I want to keep this option open," said Metzelder.
"If you could play for a club like Borussia Dortmund, with this stadium, these fans and these expectations, then there are few alternative options in Germany.
"But I still want to talk to BVB first. I don't want to say that I'm determined to move abroad whatever happens."
