Livorno have swooped to sign Messina's Carmine Coppola.

Coach Daniele Arrigoni is looking to bring in a number of new names and Coppola is the first arrival.

The Italian international arrives on a six-month loan with a view to a permanent deal.

"We need at least six or seven players and in my opinion when there is the possibility to change, you must do it, to give new stimulus to the team," said Arrigoni.

"And I'm not referring only to these players who until now have not played a lot.

"It's possible also that some of those who have played could leave."

Meanwhile, Stefano Argilli has left the club for Serie B side Frosinone.
