Posh move for Jalal

Peterborough have confirmed the signing of Woking goalkeeper Shwan Jalal.

Peterborough have confirmed the signing of Shwan Jalal, with the Woking goalkeeper becoming the third Conference player brought to London Road this month.

Since the January transfer window opened last week Peterborough have wasted little time in bolstering their ranks, with Jalal joining Aaron McLean, George Boyd and Josh Low as a new face at the League Two club.

Jalal, Baghdad-born, is determined to make the most of his return to League football having previously had spells at Tottenham and Sheffield Wednesday, who he joined on loan earlier in the campaign.

"I enjoyed my time at Woking and it has been a good season for me," he told the club's official website.

"This move is a great opportunity and one I am looking to take. The players that have been signed by the manager have impressed me.

"The chairman has big plans and I want to be a part of them. I can't wait to get started."
