"I am very happy," said the Algerian international.
"I had contacts with other clubs like Lens, Lille, Ajax and PSV. But as soon as Lyon has been attracted, you can't refuse.
"They are the best club in France, and one of the best in Europe. I feel very lucky to join that club after playing in Ligue 1 for just six months with the bottom side.
"I owe a lot to Sedan, which has been a springboard for me. Today I absolutely want to help the team to get through."
