Real Valladolid have reached the Copa del Rey quarter-finals after beating Villarreal.
Real Valladolid have reached the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey after seeing off Villarreal in the round of 16.The Segunda Liga club led The Yellow Submarines 2-1 from the first leg, and a penalty from Javier Baraja (26) meant Valladolid went through 3-1 on aggregate.
Each team had a man sent off at El Madrigal, as Villarreal's Ruben Cani and Valladolid's Chema received their marching orders in Wednesday's second leg.
Primera Liga leaders Sevilla made no mistake with their lower-division opposition after a 3-1 aggregate success over Rayo Vallecano.
Following a goalless first-leg draw, Sevilla got a brace from Alejandro Alfaro and a strike from Fredi Kanoute to see them through to the final eight, with Mauri scoring a consolation for Vallecano.

Osasuna defeated Atletico Madrid 3-1 on aggregate after a 2-0 win at home in the second leg. Francisco Punal got both goals for the Basque Country club in Pamplona.
Finally, Real Zaragoza defeated Segunda Liga club Malaga 3-1 on aggregate, despite losing the second leg at home 1-0.
A 3-0 first-leg win away from home was enough to take Zaragoza through, despite Bratislav Ristic scoring Malaga's winner on Wednesday.
