Milan still waiting on Real

Milan are still awaiting the say-so from Real Madrid for the signing of Ronaldo.

Milan are awaiting the go-ahead from Real Madrid before stepping up their bid to sign Brazilian striker Ronaldo.

The Rossoneri are already believed to have agreed a package with Ronaldo after talks with the player's representatives during the past week.

However, despite Ronaldo no longer appearing to figure in Fabio Capello's long-term plans, Los Merengues have yet to sanction the 30-year-old's exit from El Bernabeu.

Reports claim Ronaldo is seeking a mutual termination of his contract in order to facilitate a move to Milan, but Real are still hopeful of recouping a fee.

The continued stalemate could yet dash Ronaldo's hopes of a return to Serie A, the league he graced with Milan's city rivals Internazionale between 1997 and 2002.
