Bayern open to Karimi exit

Uli Hoeness says that midfielder Ali Karimi can rejoin his former club Al-Ahli in Dubai.

The Iranian international star has failed to hold down a regular first team place at the Allianz Arena since joining the Bundesliga champions in 2005 and has been told that his contract will not be extended at the end of the season.

Hoeness, however, confirmed that Al-Ahli have made an official request as to his availability and added that he would be prepared to let the 28-year-old leave during the current transfer window.

"If he says that he wants to go, then he can go;" he commented after confirming that the two clubs had agreed on the major details of a possible transfer.
