Simon Davies has completed his move from Everton to Fulham for an undisclosed fee.The Wales international midfielder has signed a contract that binds him to Craven Cottage until 2010.
Davies started his career at Peterborough before earning a move to Tottenham, where he established himself as a favourite at White Hart Lane, later moving on to Goodison Park in 2005.
His time on Merseyside was not, though, as successful and he will now look to rejuvenate his career on returning to the capital.
"I'm really happy to have joined Fulham as Chris is a manager I know and admire very much, and I think the style of play that he has developed here will suit my game," he told the club's official website.
"I've wanted to come back to London for a while now so it's a good move for me, and I'm eager to train hard and contribute as much as I can to the rest of the season's campaign."
Fulham boss Chris Coleman has echoed the words of his latest acquisition, declaring himself to be delighted at having landed a versatile performer, who he feels will add an extra quality to his ranks.
"I am delighted that we have eventually brought Simon to Fulham, as I think he will fit in really well here," added Coleman.
"Simon is a player I have admired for a long time and obviously I know him well because of the Welsh national team.
"He is a versatile player; he can play centre midfield, wide right, and right back, so we have the option of utilising him in a number of positions.
"He is a very good passer of the ball with a great engine. He's at a good age, and I think his best years are still to come, and I am confident that he will do well for us."
