Imps reject Bridges link
John Schofield has rejected talk of Lincoln making a move for Michael Bridges.
Lincoln manager John Schofield has rejected talk of the club making a move for Michael Bridges. The Hull City striker enjoyed a fruitful spell in League Two with Carlisle last season, with his goals helping the club win promotion.
Bridges moved to the KC Stadium for £350,000 in the summer, but has featured just 12 times for The Tigers, scoring twice.
Lincoln have been linked with a bid for the 28-year-old, but Schofield insists there is nothing in the rumours.
"I haven't spoken to Michael Bridges," Schofield said.
"We are a progressive club and we're always speaking to other clubs about strengthening our squad.
"It would be totally unprofessional of me to name names but there's certainly nothing in this Michael Bridges link."
Meanwhile, Imps striker Daniel Bacon has left the club after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
