Letizi returns to Nice
Lionel Letizi has returned to France to re-sign with former club Nice on Tuesday.
Lionel Letizi has returned to France to re-sign with former club Nice following his release from Rangers. The former Metz custodian returns to the South of France on a six-month contract after ending his spell with the Ibrox club, having only joined the Old Firm club from Paris Saint Germain last summer.
The 33-year-old opted not to fight for his place in Walter Smith's side, having lost the Rangers number one jersey to the emerging Allan McGregor.
The departure of Paul Le Guen as Gers boss looks to have had an influence on Letizi's decision to head back to Ligue 1 with the club he started his career with.
Letizi's arrival has allowed fellow keeper Damien Gregorini to move to Ligue 1 rivals Nancy on a three-and-a-half-year contract on Tuesday.
