Cech proving doubters wrong
Petr Cech feels his doubters are being proved wrong after his return from a head injury.
Petr Cech is confident he is proving his doubters wrong after returning from a horrific head injury.
The Chelsea goalkeeper has appeared in the club's last five matches after spending three months out with a fractured skull.
There were fears that the Czech Republic international may never play again, but Cech is happy those concerns proved misguided.
"People from the press wanted to know if I was able to return," Cech told CTK.
"I was doing my best to return with a good psyche and good fitness.
"I am glad that I have proved to people who might have doubted me that it is possible to get back."
Since making his comeback in the 2-0 defeat at Liverpool, Cech has kept four clean sheets in a row and he feels his form is improving with every match.
He added: "The first game against Liverpool was not so much about the result, as about me not making any mistakes.
"I have started to feel well since the Carling Cup semi-final against Wycombe. From game to game, I have been feeling better and better, and I have been getting into good form.
"Of course, the four clean sheets have improved my self-confidence.
"I am slowly getting into my regular shape. I have enjoyed every game since my return."
