Chopra happy at Cardiff

Cardiff ace Michael Chopra has moved to reject talk he could quit the club.

Cardiff ace Michael Chopra has moved to reject talk he could quit the club if they fail to win promotion to the Premiership.

In a recent interview the former Newcastle man intimated he could look to move on if Cardiff fail to reach England's top-flight.

However, the Championship's top scorer insists his comments were misinterpreted and that he is happy at Cardiff.

"I think what I've said has been misunderstood a touch last night," Chopra told the club's official website. "I do want to play in the Premiership and ideally with Cardiff City.

"I stress with Cardiff City because I'm loving it down here and the fans and club have been magic with me.

"Like any ambitious striker though, I've set my sights on playing at the highest level at some stage in my career.

"That means at some stage, while I'm still young, I'd like to get up there - as all the rest of the club would."
